How does the EU respond to natural or man-made disasters? The campaign #EUSavesLives sought to answer this question by giving us visual insights to three different catastrophic sceneries.
Touring 6 European metropolises in 2018, the VR roadshow gave visitors the chance to vividly experience the importance of humanitarian aid. They could immerse themselves in the lives of refugees in a refugee camp in Bangladesh, witness the fight against a wildfire in an Italian Airforce or feel the impact of an earthquake in a simulation. Due to the overwhelming response, the roadshow went to a second round in 2019 in 8 other European cities. The project was supported by the European Commission, Directorate General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO) and featured seven different languages.
